The province of Quebec is unlike any other region in Canada, primarily because French is spoken there. Quebec has the right to make its own laws and has its own immigration programs, which operate separately from the federal programs and other provincial ones. Quebec’s Ministry of Immigration selects candidates who are more likely to successfully settle in a French-speaking region.
Usually, the province sends out invitations through a special Arrima system once or twice a month. Sending out invitations is called a selection or drawing. Sending out invitations is called a draw.
