Quebec held a new immigration draw

The province shared the results of a draw that took place late last month.

On March 30, the province of Quebec held another draw for skilled workers. A total of 619 people were invited.

To receive the invitation, they had to meet the requirements: either have a job offer outside of Montreal and its suburbs or score 578 or higher on the Arrima system and have one of the following occupations:

The previous draw was held on March 16. It had the same passing score and number of invitations, but the list of professions was reduced this time.

Quebec is the only province in Canada with its own immigration system. The region itself sets the criteria for selecting applicants independently of the federal government. The province plans to admit 52,000 immigrants in 2023.

The Arrima immigration system evaluates criteria such as age, knowledge of languages (primarily French), work experience, occupation, education, and availability of a job offer in Quebec.
