Quebec shared its results for the February 9 draw

The province issued more than 1,000 invitations.

On February 9, Quebec held its first immigration draw in 2023.

The region invited 1,011 skilled workers who met one of the following requirements:

  • scored 619 or more points in the Arrima system;
  • or received a job offer outside of Montreal.

The previous draw in Quebec took place on December 15. The passing score was much lower, but only candidates with certain occupations were invited.

Quebec is the only province in Canada with its own immigration system and sets its selection criteria independently of the federal government. In 2023, Quebec intends to admit 52,500 newcomers.

The Arrima system evaluates language skills (primarily French), age, work experience, education, occupation, and availability of a job offer in Quebec.
