Quebec had a record-small draw

For the second consecutive selection, the province has invited few candidates.

On November 11, Quebec sent out 33 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination under the provincial immigration program through the Arrima expression of interest system. The selection went through the stream for qualified professionals.

In the past drawing, candidates who had a provincial job offer outside of Montreal were selected. This selection had no passing points in the rating system Arrima. It was also the second smallest selection for 2021 after the previous drawing, which took place on October 21.

Still, the province has scale plans for 2022: Quebec intends to welcome up to 70,000 new immigrants.

Quebec's immigration programs are managed by the province on the basis of selection criteria and processes different from those of Canada.

To increase your chances of receiving an invitation from Quebec, we recommend that you keep an eye on history of your pass scores and number of invitations.
