Quebec raises fees for Ministry of Immigration levies

The new tariffs come into effect from the new year.

Quebec has announced an increase in fees for services provided by the provincial immigration ministry. These include fees for permanent and temporary residency applications, as well as counseling and the like.

All fees will be indexed at 3% in accordance with the Act to limit the indexation of several government tariffs for the period 2023-2026. The new rates will take effect on January 1, 2024.

Thus, for example, the fee for investors receiving permanent residence increased from $16,874 CAD to $17,380 CAD. The same fee for entrepreneurs and self-employed will be $1,211 CAD instead of $1,176 CAD. And the fee for skilled workers increased from $869 CAD to $895 CAD.

Prices for temporary residency have also increased slightly. For example, foreign students will have to pay $128 CAD instead of the current $124. A full table with the new rates can be viewed on the provincial website.
