Third overall selection Express Entry for January

A fruitful month for federal immigration programs.

On January 31, another Express Entry immigration draw was held, the third one this month. Invitations were sent to candidates participating on a general basis. This time there were 730 such lucky applicants.

During this selection process, successful applicants had to score at least 541 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System, two points less than last time on January 23. Points in the system are awarded for education, language skills, age, availability of job offers in Canada, ability to adapt to the country and other factors.

In addition to the general selections, Express Entry has targeted drawings for six different categories of applicants: for French speakers, for health professionals, for science, engineering and mathematics professionals, for working professions, for the transportation sector and for agricultural workers.
