We often write about the the real estate market in Canada. It is indeed a very serious issue, both for Canadian students and for families with children. But there is a service in Canada that makes it easier to find a home to buy.

The company is called Doormat. It is a digital service that provides the legal services needed to close the deal to buy or sell real estate.

The founder Robert Saunders, having once bought an apartment himself, realized how complicated the process was, and began looking for ways to simplify the matter. Robert brought in his friend Ben, a real estate lawyer, and Joel, an experienced entrepreneur. The guys co-founded the company and decided to take a new approach to real estate in the 21st century.

In the beginning, they raised CAD 1.25 million in pre-seed funding.

Several companies invested in a project because those guys really know how to optimize the process of finding a home, buying it and signing all the necessary documents, so that you do not need to go crazy.
