Canada is one of the favorite destinations of millionaire migrants
This year the country was in the top 10 richest countries in the world
A recent Henley Global Citizen report gave an overview of the ten richest countries in the world in terms of net inflows and outflows of millionaires in the current year of 2022.
In addition, the country has a program that encourages foreign investments and through them guarantees the right to permanent residency or citizenship. This is the Start-Up Visa program, which targets successful entrepreneurs who are able to create jobs, support innovative businesses and positively impact the country's economy.
According to the Henley report, about 1,000 rich people will move to Canada in 2022, not much less than the projection for the U.S. (1,500 people). These people are expected to come mostly from Ukraine, India, China, Hong Kong and Russia.
Although Canada ranked only eighth on the list, it is on par with countries such as the UAE, Israel and Switzerland in terms of popularity among the wealthy.
Canada is an attractive destination for wealthy people because of its high standard of living, safe environment, attractive taxation programs, and respect for and declaration of the importance of human rights.
