Canadian official caught on camera at inopportune moment - twice already
The second time, the apology didn't work.
Just a month ago, Quebec Liberal MP William Amos appeared naked on a House of Commons video conference without realizing he had his camera on.
The incident quickly made news headlines and sparked a debate in parliament, with members reminded of the importance of keeping an eye on the camera during meetings.
Amos then apologised to his colleagues and promised that it would not happen again. However — it happened again. During a virtual hearing in the House of Commons, which took place on 26 May, the MP was caught by his camera urinating, which, according to him, happened again by accident.
"I am deeply embarrassed by my actions and the distress they may have caused to those who witnessed them," Amos wrote in a statement a day later. — Although it was unintentional and completely unnoticeable to the public, it is totally unacceptable and I apologize unreservedly."
Last time, Amos said that he had returned from a jog and was changing into his work clothes when his camera accidentally turned on. How the incident happened, he did not explain, but stated that he was temporarily relinquishing his position as parliamentary secretary and his responsibilities in the committee.
