How to get into museums and exhibitions in Toronto for free?

The Toronto Public Library's free card works wonders!

It allows you to take advantage of the Museum + Arts Pass (MAP) and visit Toronto's museums and exhibitions with your family for free.

The Museum + Arts Pass (MAP) is a pass available to any Toronto Public Library cardholder. This pass will allow free weekly admission to a number of Toronto's museums, art galleries, and other cultural venues. Each venue has its own restrictions, but generally, two adults and two children can pass in one visit.

The goal of the program is to facilitate Toronto's residents' access to cultural life in the city and to provide free admission to the city's most celebrated cultural institutions. The program aims to showcase Toronto's cultural renaissance.

All you have to do is use your Toronto library card to write yourself a MAP pass, and all the city's major cultural treasures will be revealed to you and your family.

With the Museum + Arts Pass, you can visit the Toronto Museum of Contemporary Art, the Ontario Art Gallery, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Ontario Science Centre, the Toronto Zoo, the Ripley Aquarium, the Toronto Railway Museum, the Black Creek Pioneer Village Open Air Museum and more, among others.
