This will significantly reduce the travel time.

Canadian Transport Minister Omar Algabra has announced the creation of a high-frequency railway that will link Quebec with Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto.

Trains will run on dedicated tracks and their speed will reach 200 kilometres per hour. The innovation will create more routes, which will reduce travel time in the Quebec-Toronto corridor.

According to Algabra, trips between Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City are among the most popular in Canada. And they are most often made by car. Preliminary estimates suggest the trains will reduce gaps in schedules by more than 95% and reduce congestion by providing a low-carbon travel alternative.
