Manitoba invites more than 500 people to immigrate
The results of the new drawing.
On June 15, Manitoba invited 540 people in its immigration draw. The draw was both for certain occupations and for all applicants.
Candidates from several streams participated in the general selection:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba — 205 invitations, a minimum score of 665;
- Skilled Workers Overseas — 21 invitations, a minimum score of 718;
- International Education Stream — 59 invitations, no minimum score required:
The targeted selection included 255 skilled workers in Manitoba who scored 602 and had occupations in the following sectors:
- technical trades and transportation officers and controllers;
- general construction trades;
- building maintenance installers, servicers, and repairers;
- operators, drillers, and blasters.
Of the total number of invited candidates, 187 were registered in the Express Entry system.
The previous selection in Manitoba was held on June 1. In the new draw, passing scores have decreased for all streams, especially for skilled workers overseas, by 83 points. The last round of invitations for this category had the highest minimum score in years.
