Immigration to Manitoba through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream

Immigration to Manitoba through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream

People who have a job offer in Manitoba, including graduates of Canadian universities, can get permanent residency through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream.

The Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream of Manitoba’s provincial program allows professionals who can contribute to the local economy and have a strong connection to Manitoba to become permanent residents.

To be able to immigrate through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • have a job offer from an employer in Manitoba;
  • work for at least 6 months for the same employer in Manitoba (for at least one year if you are a graduate of a Canadian university outside Manitoba);
  • demonstrate proficiency in English or French necessary to perform the duties of the job;
  • provide a Settlement Plan in which you demonstrate your intention to live and work permanently in Manitoba;
  • demonstrate the ability to financially support yourself and your family members (usually the amount of $10,000 CAD is required, your current income may also be taken into account).
