Manitoba holds second immigration draw in a week
More than 500 people became lucky!
On April 20, Manitoba held draws the provincial immigration program candidates. 507 people received invitations.
One of the draws was general, and there were candidates from several streams:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba — 194 invitations, a minimum score of 651;
- Skilled Workers Overseas — 26 invitations, a minimum score of 719;
- International Educational Stream — 38 invitations, no minimum score required:
The targeted drawing was for skilled workers in Manitoba with specific occupations. A total of 249 candidates were invited, who scored 615 points and had the following occupations:
- occupations in sales and services;
- sales and service representatives and other customer and personal services occupations.
Of those invited, Manitoba selected 91 candidates with a profile in the federal Express Entry system.
The previous draw was held on April 6. The minimum passing scores for skilled workers overseas were significantly lower, while for skilled workers in Manitoba, on the contrary, they were higher. Manitoba awards points for age, work experience, language skills, education, and connections to the province and other regions of Canada.
Earlier this week, Manitoba conducted a draw specifically for Ukrainian citizens.
