Another 566 invitations from Manitoba
The province continues to make regular draws for various candidates.
On April 6, Manitoba held general and targeted draws under the provincial immigration program. A total of 566 people were invited.
Candidates from several streams participated in the general draw:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba — 226 invitations, a minimum score of 670;
- Skilled Workers Overseas — 54 invitations, a minimum score of 708;
- International Educational Stream — 61 invitations, no minimum score required:
The targeted draw selected skilled workers in Manitoba with specific occupations. Invitations were extended to 225 candidates who scored 615 points or more and had occupations in one area — retail sales and service supervisors and specialized sales and service occupations.
Of all invited applicants, 157 were registered in the federal Express Entry system.
Manitoba's previous draw was held on March 23, with little change in scores. The province awards points for factors such as age, language skills, work experience, education, and connections to Manitoba and other regions of Canada.
