The province of Ontario has a new draw for healthcare professionals

Several hundred people will be able to obtain a Canadian permanent residence permit.

On March 9, the province of Ontario held an immigration draw under the provincial immigration program for the Human Capital Priorities stream. This stream operates through the Express Entry system and is intended for skilled professionals in demand in the province.

A total of 822 invitations were sent to candidates with medical occupations who scored between 469 and 489 on the Comprehensive Ranking System.

The previous draw for the Human Capital Priorities stream was held on February 2, and the passing scores were slightly higher, ranging from 481 to 489. Points are awarded for education, age, work experience, language skills, and other factors.
