B.C. sent out invitations to PMJs
The province has pulled another immigration prank.
On Nov. 28, British Columbia held a new immigration screening among applicants in different categories. The province sent out a total of 185 invitations.
80 of these were distributed among the following categories:
- Skilled Worker (including those registered in the Express Entry system) — minimum score of 114;
- International Graduate (including those registered in the Express Entry system) — minimum score of 116;
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled — minimum score of 94.
For Skilled Worker and International Graduate, the pass mark has increased slightly from the previous general selection held on November 16.
Another 105 applicants were invited because of their in-demand profession — we wrote more about them in a separate article. Some of these applicants were registered in the federal system Express Entry:
- Early childhood educators and assistants — 49 invitations;
- Construction Professionals — 27 invitations;
- Healthcare Professionals — 29 invitations.
The minimum score for educators and medical staff was 60, as before. And construction experts had to score at least 75 points. British Columbia awards points for work experience, education, language skills, employer location and salary.
The province's previous selection was held on Nov. 21 — at that time, only specialists in in-demand professions were invited.
We continue to follow the history of BC selections to keep you up to date with the latest information on passing grades and invitation numbers.
