New round of targeted selections in B.C.
Construction experts are invited again – and more.
On November 21, British Columbia sent out 161 invitations to skilled workers and international graduates as part of its provincial program. Some candidates were registered in the federal Express Entry system.
Invitations were distributed among the following professions:
- Early Childhood Educators and Assistants — 27 invitations;
- Construction Professionals — 24 invitations;
- Healthcare Professionals — 17 invitations;
- Tech Workers — 93 invitations.
As in the November 7 selection, technicians had to score 94 points. Construction professionals were first invited one week ago, on November 16, at which time a passing score of 75 was set and has not changed since. Healthcare workers and educators still need to score at least 60 points.
Points in British Columbia are awarded for work experience, education, language skills, employer location and salary.
