Manitoba invited candidates with professions in many sectors

Most of the selected applicants are already working in the province.

On September 7, Manitoba held a new draw for immigration candidates. The province invited 558 people, some with professions in high-demand sectors.

Some applicants were selected regardless of occupation:

Separately, Manitoba invited 230 workers in the province who scored a minimum of 595 points and had the following occupations:

  • specialized middle management occupations in engineering, architecture, science and information systems;
  • professional occupations in the natural and applied sciences;
  • technical occupations related to natural and applied sciences;
  • specialized middle management occupations in healthcare;
  • professional occupations in health;
  • technical occupations in health;
  • assisting occupations in support of health services;
  • managers in public administration, education, social and community services and public protection services;
  • professional occupations in law, education, social, community and government services;
  • professions in public defender services and paraprofessionals in legal, social, community and educational services;
  • front-line public protection services and paraprofessional occupations in legal, social, community, education services;
  • assisting occupations in education and in legal and public protection;
  • care providers and legal and public protection support occupations;
  • student monitors, crossing guards and related occupations;
  • specialized middle management occupations in art, culture, recreation and sport;
  • professional occupations in art and culture;
  • technical occupations in art, culture and sport;
  • occupations in art, culture and sport;
  • support occupations in sport;
  • support occupations in art and culture.

Of the total number invited, 158 candidates were registered in Express Entry.

Manitoba awards points for education, language skills, work experience, age, connections to the province and other regions of Canada.
