Another immigration draw in Ontario
The passing score was a record low.
On September 29, the province of Ontario held its third consecutive drawing under the provincial immigration program. Two more drawings were held on September 27 and 28, inviting skilled refugees and in-demand skilled professionals.
This time, 1,340 skilled trades workers who scored at least 266 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System received invitations. The passing score was significantly lower than in the previous draw on September 7 and all other draws this year.
Also, unlike the previous draws, this time the province of Ontario invited candidates with all occupations, not just in-demand ones.
The Skilled Trades stream is for candidates who are registered in the Express Entry system and meet the requirements of one of the federal immigration programs:
In addition, applicants must be working in Ontario at the time of application.
