Quebec has revealed how many immigrants it is willing to accept

The number of applications from workers in several areas at once has changed.

On October 27, the government of Quebec published changes to the maximum number of applications to admit applicants. The changes were adopted as part of the program for entrepreneurs and self-employed professionals, as well as three pilot permanent immigration programs.

It should be recalled that the pilot program of permanent immigration was launched in 2021 for professionals who work in the province in professions in demand, or graduated from a university in Quebec.

The application period for these programs is now limited to the period from November 3, 2021 to December 31, 2022, or until a maximum number of applications is set for acceptance:

The maximum number of applications for entrepreneurs and self-employed is the same as last year:

  • program for entrepreneurs: 25 applications for non-francophone candidates in the innovation stream;
  • program for self-employed: 50 applications for non-francophone candidates.

Meanwhile, the recruitment of entrepreneurs in the business start-up or acquisition stream is suspended until December 31, 2022.

Québec's immigration programs are managed by the province on the basis of selection criteria and processes different from Canada's immigration programs.

To maximize your chances of receiving an invitation to apply for a nomination from Quebec, we recommend keeping an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations.
