Immigration to Alberta through the Alberta Express Entry Stream
Alberta Express Entry Stream is one of Alberta's provincial program streams. It allows valuable professionals and graduates of Canadian universities to immigrate to Canada.
The Alberta Express Entry Stream allows the province of Alberta to select and invite candidates from the Express Entry system who meet program requirements.
Eligibility
Alberta provincial program representatives select candidates based on information in their Express Entry profiles, and send them notifications of interest.
An invitation to apply for the Alberta Express Entry Stream is open to candidates who:
- have an active Express Entry profile;
- meet the minimum criteria of one of the federal programs:
- have declared an interest in immigrating to Alberta;
- work in a profession that is good for Alberta's economic development;
- scored at least 300 points (out of 1,200) in the Express Entry system.
Additional factors
The following factors may increase the chances of receiving a notification of interest:
- job offer or work experience in Alberta;
- completed education in Alberta;
- relatives in Alberta.
Some factors can lower the chances:
