Immigration to Alberta through the Accelerated Tech Pathway
The Accelerated Tech Pathway allows IT professionals to immigrate to Canada.
The Accelerated Tech Pathway of Alberta's provincial program allows candidates who have an Express Entry profile and a job offer in a technical field to get permanent residency.
Eligibility
To apply for immigration, a candidate must meet a number of requirements:
- have an active profile in the Express Entry system;
- meet the minimum criteria of one of the federal programs:
- have a job offer in Alberta in one of the suitable occupations (list below) or work in the province when applying for the stream;
- score at least 300 points in the Express Entry system.
Additional factors
The following factors may increase the chances of being invited:
- completed a college education in Alberta;
- having a relative in Alberta.
Some factors can lower the chances:
- the Express Entry profile expires in 3 months or sooner.
