Manitoba held an immigration raffle
Selection for different categories of applicants.
The province of Manitoba reported the results of an immigration draw held on Dec. 14. A total of 283 applicants were invited, and 20 of them had a Express Entry profile.
Candidates from several streams participated in this selection process:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba — 160 invitations, minimum score of 774 (at this time, only profiles proving that the applicant or his/her spouse has completed post-secondary education in Manitoba were considered);
- Skilled Workers Overseas — 61 invitations, minimum score 714;
- International Education Stream — 62 invitations with no minimum score:
This time around, the pass rates for skilled overseas workers were slightly lower than the previous draw November 30. But the pass rate for the skilled worker in Manitobastream rose strongly, by more than 150 points.
Manitoba points are awarded for education, language skills, work experience, age, ties to the province and other regions of Canada.
