Manitoba sent out hundreds of invitations again

Another draw was held among applicants of different categories.

The province of Manitoba held a new immigration screening on Oct. 5. A total of 542 invitations were sent out, with 140 of those invitations going to Express Entry registered candidates.

Some of the candidates were selected irrespective of their profession:

A separate selection was held for representatives of in-demand professions. 219 such applicants with at least 610 points and representing the following professions were invited:

  • technical trades and transportation officers and controllers;
  • general trades;
  • helpers and laborers and other transport drivers, operators and labourers.

Manitoba awards points for education, language skills, work experience, age, ties to the province and other regions of Canada.

Last time the selections were held September 28 and 29, then the province invited separately citizens of Ukraine and qualified workers abroad. The minimum score for the latter decreased slightly by 4 points. The pass rate for skilled workers in Manitoba is also down 3 points from the September 23 draw.
