Manitoba invites catering workers and other candidates
Again, over 500 invitations in a new drawing.
On June 29, Manitoba held an immigration screening in which 587 people were invited. The selection was for members of certain professions as well as for all applicants.
Applicants from several streams participated in the overall selection process:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba — 184 invitations, a minimum score of 662;
- Skilled Workers overseas — 26 invitations, a minimum score of 717;
- international educational stream — 62 invitations, no minimum score required:
The targeted selections included 315 qualified individuals in Manitoba who scored a minimum of 613 and had the following occupations:
- managers of restaurants and food service establishments;
- supervisors in food service;
- grocery counter workers, kitchen assistants, and related occupations.
Of the total number of invited candidates, 162 were registered in the Express Entry system.
Manitoba conducted the last selection on June 15. In the general drawing, the passing scores were slightly higher. Then, on June 26, there was a special selection for citizens of Ukraine.
In Manitoba's immigration program points are awarded for education, language skills, work experience, age, connections to the province and other regions of Canada.
