British Columbia invites professionals and entrepreneurs

More than a hundred people were the lucky ones.

On June 20, British Columbia held two selections. The first was for workers with in-demand professions and the second was for entrepreneurs. In total, the province selected 159 people.

In the first drawing, British Columbia invited 149 people. They were skilled workers and international graduates, including those registered in Express Entry. They had to have the following professions:

Technicians needed to score 90 points on the evaluation system, and the rest of the participants needed to score 60. British Columbia's provincial program gives points for education, work experience, languages, employer location, and salary.

The previous such selection was held in the province on June 6, and the minimum scores were the same. Later, on June 13, British Columbia conducted a drawing for all professions and separately invited educators and health workers.

The second round of invitations held on June 20 was for entrepreneurs.
