Second consecutive draw in Ontario
Over 800 invitations again!
On March 10, the province of Ontario held a draw under the provincial immigration program for the Human Capital Priorities stream. The stream operates through the Express Entry system and targets skilled professionals in demand in the province.
A total of 815 people with technical occupations were invited, who scored between 479 and 489 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System. The day before this draw, there was a round of invitations for the same stream but candidates with medical professions were invited. It had slightly lower passing scores, ranging from 469 to 489. Points are awarded for education, work experience, age, language skills, and other factors.
The list of eligible professions in the new draw:
- computer and information systems managers;
- data specialists;
- database analysts and data administrators;
- computer systems developers and programmers;
- programmers and designers;
- software developers and programmers;
- web designers;
- web developers and programmers;
- computer engineers.
