Manitoba issued invitations to professionals and graduates
More than 300 people will be able to immigrate to the province.
On January 12, Manitoba held a new drawing for candidates of the provincial immigration program. A total of 322 people were invited.
Invitations and passing scores were distributed as follows:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba — 260 invitations, a minimum score of 734;
- Skilled Workers Overseas — 20 invitations, a minimum score of 713;
- International Educational Stream — 42 invitations, no minimum score required.
Of all the selected candidates, 27 had an Express Entry profile.
Manitoba held a previous immigration draw on December 30. There, the passing score for skilled workers in Manitoba was much higher, and the passing score for skilled workers overseas was slightly lower.
The province awards points for factors such as age, language skills, work experience, education, connections to Manitoba, and connections to other regions of Canada.
