Manitoba held a draw right before the New Year
About 300 candidates will be able to immigrate.
The province of Manitoba released the results of its December 30 immigration draw. A total of 280 invitations were sent in three streams of the provincial immigration program.
Invitations and passing scores were distributed as follows:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba — 202 invitations, a minimum score of 750;
- Skilled Workers Overseas — 40 invitations, a minimum score of 711;
- International Educational Stream — 38 invitations.
Among those who received invitations, 21 were registered in the federal Express Entry system.
On December 29, Manitoba held another immigration draw, but only for Ukrainian citizens. The previous general draw was held on December 16. The passing scores have changed slightly.
Manitoba awards points for factors such as language ability, age, work experience, education, connections to the province, and connections to other regions of Canada. A total of 1,000 points can be earned.
