Manitoba held a draw after a two-month pause
In two streams. the province invited more candidates than usual, and in one stream, the passing score increased dramatically.
On November 18, Manitoba held an immigration draw under the provincial immigration program. The region selected 518 people among skilled professionals and university graduates.
Invitations and passing scores were distributed as follows:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba — 177 invitations, a minimum score of 797;
- Skilled Workers Overseas — 143 invitations, a minimum score of 686;
- International Educational Stream — 198 invitations, no passing score required.
125 invited candidates were registered in the federal Express Entry system.
Compared to Manitoba's previous draws, significantly more workers from overseas and graduates were invited this time. On the contrary, workers in Manitoba received few invitations, and the passing score for them went up a lot. The last time Manitoba held a draw was on September 15.
