Manitoba held an immigration raffle on March 10

Qualified professionals and graduates were invited.

On March 10, 2022, the province sent out invitations to three streams:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba;
  • Skilled Workers Overseas;
  • International Education Stream.

The day before, the province had processed applications from Ukrainians. In their case, as in the case of graduates in all selections in recent years, MPNP Expression of Interest scores were not counted; only MPNP Self-Assessment Points (MPNP assessment criteria) were taken into account.

The normal selection for these three streams was last held February 24. At that time 278 candidates were invited, and the passing score was significantly lower.

Skilled Workers in Manitoba is a stream for qualified people who are already working in Manitoba and have been offered full-time, long-term contract work in Manitoba. This time along the stream, 50 people were invited. The minimum score is 781.

Skilled Workers Overseas is a program for professionals who have not yet come to Manitoba, but can prove their intention to stay in the province permanently. This time, 34 people were nominated. Only applications from candidates who have been selected by the province through the Strategic Recruitment Initiative, the Strategic Recruitment Initiative, were considered. The lowest score among the selected candidates was 718.

The third stream, International Education, is for graduates of local universities. Thirty-six people received invitations.

A total of 120 candidates were nominated from the province of Manitoba in this selection. Of these, 33 were previously registered in the Express Entry program and provided a valid applicant ID and confirmation code.
