A major immigration draw from Manitoba
The province released the results of the selection, which took place last week.
On July 29, 375 candidates received invitations to apply for nomination from the Province of Manitoba. The selection process was based on Manitoba's immigration program among qualified professionals who are already in Manitoba, qualified professionals from abroad and Manitoba university graduates.
Invitations and passing grades in the "Expression of Interest" system were distributed as follows:
- skilled professionals in Manitoba — 285 invitations, minimum score 400;
- skilled professionals abroad — 47 invitations, minimum score 708;
- international education stream — 43 invitations, no points required.
Compared to the previous draw on July 9, the passing scores in the new selection for Manitoba's specialist category have dropped significantly, while those for the overseas specialist have risen slightly. The province also held a separate selection for the overseas specialist stream on July 27.
Keep an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations to increase your chances of receiving a nomination from the Province of Manitoba.
