British Columbia has sent invitations to professionals in high-demand occupations
A new round of provincial selections.
On Oct. 11, British Columbia sent out up to 185 invitations to skilled workers and international graduates as part of its provincial program. Some applicants were registered in the federal Express Entry system.
Invitations were distributed among the following professions:
- Tech Workers — 118 invitations;
- Early Childhood Educators and Assistants — 45 invitations;
- Healthcare Pprofessionals — 17 invitations;
- other specialties (including veterinarians, zootechnicians and veterinary technicians) — less than 5 invitations.
As in previous similar selections October 4 and September 26, applicants with technical occupations needed to score 90 points under the provincial scoring system, while other candidates needed 60 points. Points are awarded for work experience, education, language skills, employer location and salary.
We will continue to follow the history of the BC selections to keep you up to date with the latest information on the number of invitations and passing grades.
