Ontario invites more than 1,500 candidates in a new draw

The passing scores were not very high.

On May 18, the province of Ontario held an immigration draw for skilled trades.

Invitations were sent to 1,694 applicants who could score between 250 and 489 points on the Comprehensive Ranking System. In addition, applicants needed work experience in one of the suitable occupations.

This time the list includes contractors and supervisors in various fields, tool makers, sheet metal workers, metal workers, welders, electricians, installers, plumbers, carpenters, and many other professionals. For a complete list of occupations, see Ontario's official website.

The previous selection for skilled trades was on March 23, and the passing scores were the same. In the Comprehensive Ranking System, points are awarded for factors such as age, language skills, education, work experience, and so on, with 250 points being a reasonably low value.
