The province of Ontario gets into an immigration draw frenzy

There have already been three drawings this week!

The province of Ontario held two new draws under its immigration program. The first draw invited graduates with a Master's degree and the second one invited entrepreneurs.

On December 21, the region selected 725 Master's graduates. They needed to score a minimum of 46 points on the evaluation system. Points are awarded for Canadian experience, occupation, income, field of study, language level, and other factors.

In the previous round of invitations, which took place on October 25, graduates needed only 35 points. In the new drawing, the passing score was the highest for 2022.

On December 22, Ontario sent 14 invitations to entrepreneurs. Those who scored between 140 and 173 points were selected. The previous draw took place on August 16. There, the minimum passing score was two points lower.

The Ontario Entrepreneur Stream is designed to attract business owners who have a net worth of $400,000 CAD or more and are willing to invest in a business of $200,000 CAD or more.

In this stream, the region awards points for business ownership and management experience, education, language skills, net worth, investment, business concept, number of jobs created, and other factors.

Earlier this week, Ontario also had a drawing for professionals with priority occupations.

Keep an eye on the history of passing scores and the number of invitations so you don't miss your chance to immigrate to Ontario.
