Prince Edward Island held a new selection
Luck smiled on qualified professionals and businessmen.
On February 17, 123 applicants were invited to apply for the province's Prince Edward Island nomination. Selection was through the provincial immigration program for professionals and entrepreneurs.
As part of the drawing, six invitations went to candidates from the entrepreneurial stream who scored at least 67 points on the provincial scoring system. This is 5 points lower than the previous selection, which took place on Jan. 20.
Another 117 invitations were distributed between the two streams:
- candidates registered with Express Entry;
- candidates with the skills and experience needed in the provincial labour market — this stream includes three streams:
- qualified professionals;
- intermediate and low skilled workers;
- graduates of Prince Edward Island.
The province did not provide a breakdown of the number of candidates invited between all streams, nor the minimum score required for each category.
To increase your chances of receiving an invitation to apply for a nomination, we recommend keeping an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations.
