Immigration to Prince Edward Island for entrepreneurs

Foreigners with entrepreneurial experience and a desire to run a business in Prince Edward Island can immigrate through the Work Permit stream.

The Work Permit stream of the Prince Edward Island provincial program is designed for foreign entrepreneurs who would like to start a business in the province.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for the Work Permit stream for entrepreneurs, you must meet the following requirements:

  • be between the ages of 21 and 59;
  • have at least a high school education;
  • have a net worth of $600,000 CAD;
  • have the skills in management or owning a business;
  • demonstrate proficiency in English or French at level 4 on the CLB scale (basic level);
  • attend an interview with the Office of Immigration of Prince Edward Island.

How to apply

The candidate must create an account on the official Prince Edward Island website and complete their profile. If approved, a work permit will be issued which will allow you to arrive in the province and start a business. After one year, you will have the opportunity to get a permanent residency.
