Manitoba's new immigration draw
This time there are significantly fewer candidates invited.
On October 7, 426 candidates received invitations to apply for nomination from the province of Manitoba. Selection was through the Manitoba Immigration Program among qualified individuals who are already in the province, qualified individuals from overseas and Manitoba university graduates.
Invitations and passing grades in the "Expression of Interest" system were distributed as follows:
- skilled professionals in Manitoba — 350 invitations, minimum score 446;
- skilled professionals abroad — 21 invitations, minimum score 729;
- international educational stream — 55 invitations, no points required.
84 invitations out of 426 were sent to candidates with an active profile in Express Entry.
Compared to previous drawing, which was held on September 23, passing scores for the markedly increased.
