B.C. shares the results of a raffle for IT workers
A few dozen lucky individuals have been selected to apply for the CoML.
On July 27, the British Columbia Immigration Programme issued 59 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination. The selection was for the Technical Program, which is for IT workers.
The drawing was held among the following categories:
- skilled workers;
- graduates;
- skilled workers with selection via Express Entry;
- graduates with selection via Express Entry.
The minimum passing score in all categories was 80 — unchanged from the previous selection held on July 13.
To participate in the Technical Immigration Program, applicants must register with one of British Columbia's immigration streams and have a valid job offer in one of 29 eligible occupations. They are also assessed on a number of factors: level of education, language skills, work experience and availability of a job offer.
To maximize your chances of receiving an invitation from BC, we recommend keeping an eye on history of pass scores and number of invitations.
