Province of Ontario invites university graduates

Some have received invitations to immigrate to rural communities.

On May 26, the provincial Ontario program invited 158 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. Selection was among foreign graduates of Canadian universities. To participate in this stream, candidates must have graduated from one of the approved universities in Canada and have a job offer from an Ontario employer.

The 147 selected applicants scored at least 73 points in the evaluation system "Expression of interest". This is 4 points lower than in the previous selection, which took place on 18 May.

Eleven more applicants received invitations through Ontario's regional immigration pilot, no passing scores are required. The regional pilot is designed to meet the workforce needs of small and rural communities. By netk, one can immigrate to one of three areas of the province: Chatham-Kent, Cornwall and Quint West/Belleville. Applicants must have a job offer in one of these municipalities.

The immigration screening for Canadian graduates took place the day after the selection for foreign professionals, which also invited participants in the Ontario regional pilot.

To increase your chances of receiving an invitation from Ontario, keep an eye on history of passing scores and number of invitations.
