Manitoba has had two selections in a row

One of the draws took place among candidates from Ukraine.

The Province of Manitoba has held two draws in a row. The first was held on Sept. 28 to select Skilled Workers Overseas. A total of 1,072 invitations were sent, 504 of which were sent to candidates registered in the Express Entry system.

The minimum score for this round was 605, significantly lower than the previous such draw September 23 — by 118 points.

This time, candidates who indicated they are working in a regulated occupation and are fully licensed to work in Manitoba were selected. It did not consider candidates who applied under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative, took a third-party language test and did not provide a valid test number on their Expressions of Interest (EOI).

The second selection was held specifically for Ukrainians who applied under the provincial program — and this is the 18th such draw.

Invitations were extended to 42 people who met the following criteria:

  • to be a citizen of Ukraine;
  • pass a language test with a CLB score of 4 or higher;
  • have a connection to Manitoba (references from the community, relatives, previous work or study in the province);
  • have a valid language test;
  • to score at least 60 points;
  • meet the requirements of the flow of skilled professionals from abroad, including enough money to relocate.

The previous selection for Ukrainians was held June 26, then the conditions were slightly less, and invitations — more.

We will continue to follow the history of the Manitoba selections so that you too can stay up to date with the latest information on scores, requirements and invitation numbers.
