British Columbia has selected new PML candidates
The province has sent out invitations to applicants in different categories.
On September 19, the next round of selections for the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program took place. A total of 225 invitations were sent out, some of them for professionals with in-demand occupations.
The 147 invitations were distributed as follows:
- Skilled Workers (including those registered in the Express Entry system) — minimum score of 108;
- International Graduate (including those registered in the Express Entry system) — minimum score of 111;
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled — minimum score of 89.
Another 78 of those who received invitations have an in-demand profession. The minimum score for these candidates was 60.
- Early Childhood Educators and Assistants — 51 invitations;
- Healthcare professionals — 27 invitations.
Points in British Columbia are awarded for education, work experience, language skills, employer location and salary. You must also find a job in the province before applying for immigration.
Applicants with in-demand occupations were invited to apply for the BC Immigration Program the previous time September 12. And the general screening for all applicants regardless of occupation was held September 6. In both cases, the pass rate went up slightly.
We will continue to follow the story of the selections in British Columbia. We suggest you to join so you don't miss your chance to immigrate to Canada!
