230 invitations to immigrate to British Columbia
Sharing the results of the latest immigration draw.
On July 25, British Columbia held a draw under the provincial immigration program and invited 230 applicants. These were both candidates from certain occupations and applicants regardless of their specialty.
The province sent 175 invitations to applicants with any occupation in the following categories:
- Skilled Worker (including those registered in Express Entry) — a minimum score of 106;
- International Graduate (including those registered in Express Entry) — a minimum score of 109;
- Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled — a minimum score of 87.
55 invitations were given to candidates with in-demand occupations who scored 60 points:
- early childhood educators and assistants — 30 invitations;
- healthcare professionals — 20 invitations;
- veterinarians and veterinary technicians — less than 5 invitations.
The province's last immigration selection was held on July 11, and the passing scores were the same. And on July 18, a targeted draw was held to select only in-demand workers.
British Columbia awards points for language skills, education, work experience, employer location, and salary. You must find a job in the province before applying for immigration.
