Immigration draw in British Columbia on July 11
Dozens of candidates were given the chance to move to the province.
On July 11, British Columbia held a new draw under its provincial program and invited 207 candidates to immigrate. This time the draw was a general one: the province selected candidates regardless of their occupation, as well as some in-demand professionals.
152 invitations were distributed among the following streams:
- Skilled Worker (including those registered in Express Entry) — a minimum score of 106;
- International Graduate (including those registered in Express Entry) — a minimum score of 109;
- Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled — a minimum score of 87.
Another 55 invitations were issued to candidates with certain occupations who scored a minimum of 60 points:
- early childhood educators and assistants — 35 invitations;
- healthcare professionals — 15 invitations;
- veterinarians and veterinary technicians — less than 5 invitations.
The previous general selection was held on June 27, with minimum scores unchanged. And on July 5, a targeted drawing was held, in which British Columbia invited only candidates with priority occupations.
British Columbia awards points for language skills, work experience, education, employer location, and salary. You must find a job in the province before applying for immigration.
