145 new invitations to immigrate to British Columbia
The province has made another selection.
On May 23, the province of British Columbia held a targeted immigration draw in which it issued invitations to 145 candidates with in-demand professions.
Participants in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams were selected including those with an Express Entry profile:
- tech workers — 103 invitations;
- early childhood educators and assistants — 20 invitations;
- healthcare professionals — 17 invitations;
- veterinarians and veterinary technicians — less than 5 invitations.
Technicians needed to score 90 points on the evaluation system, and other candidates needed to score 60. British Columbia's provincial program awards points for factors such as education, language skills, work experience, employer location, and salary.
The previous provincial target selection was held on May 9, and the minimum scores remained unchanged. For educators and medics, there was also another drawing on May 16 with the same passing scores.
We keep track of British Columbia's draw history to keep you up-to-date on the number of invitations and passing scores.
