Ontario issued invitations to trades workers
Several hundred people will be able to immigrate to the region.
On March 23, Ontario held a new immigration draw under the provincial program for skilled trades.
This time, the region sent 746 invitations to those applicants who scored between 250 and 489 on the Comprehensive Ranking System. They also needed to have work experience in one of the eligible occupations. The list included supervisors in various fields, metallists, welders, electricians, plumbers, installers, construction workers, mechanics, and many other professionals. The previous skilled trades draw was held on February 10. In the new round of invitations, the minimum passing score dropped by 10 points, and the list of eligible occupations remained the same. Points in this stream are awarded for education, language skills, age, work experience, and other factors.
