British Columbia issued immigration invitations
One category of candidates did not participate this time.
On January 7, British Columbia held a new draw under the provincial immigration program. A total of 245 people received invitations.
The province selected 207 candidates in the general drawing, which was held for the following streams:
- Skilled Worker (including those registered in Express Entry) — a minimum score of 102;
- International Graduate (including those registered in Express Entry) — a minimum score of 102;
- Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled — a minimum score of 82.
The previous general draw was held on January 24. Passing scores have not changed. B.C. awards points for education, language skills, work experience, employer location, and wage offered. All candidates must have a job offer in the province.
38 others received invitations in a targeted drawing for certain occupations. They had to score a minimum of 60 points:
- early childhood educators and assistants — 25 invitations;
- healthcare professionals — 13 invitations.
Previously the target draw was on January 31, the minimum scores remained unchanged. Usually, B.C. also invites veterinarians and veterinary technicians, but they did not participate in the new drawing.
We keep the history of British Columbia's immigration draws. We recommend following it to increase your chances of being invited by the province.
