Manitoba invites candidates of only one nationality

The province conducts such targeted draws on a regular basis.

On January 30, Manitoba held a special immigration draw. Only Ukrainians who applied for the provincial immigration program were invited.

21 people were selected in the drawing. The invitees had to meet a number of requirements:

  • be citizens of Ukraine;
  • pass a language test with a score of CLB 4 or higher;
  • have connections to Manitoba (relatives, community recommendation, previous job or study in the province);
  • meet the requirements of the Skilled Workers Overseas stream.

Manitoba held the previous draw for Ukrainians on December 29. There were slightly fewer invitations. Earlier last week, the province also held a general drawing for all candidates.
