Immigration shenanigans in British Columbia

On May 31, 2022, B.C. sent out invitations to professionals in the province's desired professions to apply for the nomination. Among the nominees:

• less than 5 nurse assistants, orderlies, and patient care assistants;
• less than 5 veterinarians, animal health technologists and veterinary technicians;
• 5 health care professionals (other than those mentioned in the previous paragraphs);
• 15 early childhood educators and assistants.

For the first two categories of specialists the passing score decreased.

Separately, there was a general selection in which technical specialists participated. A total of 147 people were invited. The minimum passing score was different for each category.

On May 31, the Province of British Columbia invited a total of 177 people.
