Immigration shenanigans in British Columbia
The province conducted general and targeted selections.
On May 31, 2022, B.C. sent out invitations to professionals in the province's desired professions to apply for the nomination. Among the nominees:
- less than 5 nurse assistants, orderlies, and patient care assistants;
- less than 5 veterinarians, animal health technologists and veterinary technicians;
- 5 health care professionals (other than those mentioned in the previous paragraphs);
- 15 early childhood educators and assistants.
For the first two categories of specialists the passing score decreased.

Separately, there was a general selection in which technical specialists participated. A total of 147 people were invited. The minimum passing score was different for each category.
